Drake, BTS, Pink bring megastar power to Billboards!

Drake, The Weeknd, Pink, BTS, win big at the recently conducted Billboard Music Awards on May 24. This year’s award ceremony is over but it brought us memorable moments. Some of the highlights from the night are: 

Pink was bestowed with the 2021 icon award and she shared the award night with her nine-year-old daughter Willow. Mother-daughter duo performed a stripped-down version of the song “Cover Me in Sunshine.”Pink accepted the icon award for her outstanding contribution 

Another family joined the BillBoard  music awards night. Drake with his three-year son Adonis graced the stage when he accepted the artist of the decade award. Adonis clutched his father’s hand while he walked the stage and finally broke into toddlers’ tears. She and her daughter Willow glittered in the air for the cheering audience.

Later she thanked the presenter Jon Bon Jovi saying ” “I think you know this, but I didn’t come out of my room for a week when you married Dorothea! I was 8. I ripped your poster off the wall. And, I replaced you with Sebastian Bach. I’m very glad you found lasting love, but you broke my heart. I take this [award] as an apology.”

On the other side of the world K-POP sensation BTS. This superstar group left all the armies swooning around the world with a new dazzling performance of new released single Butter. Machine Gun and Megan Fox filled the ceremony with loads of PDAs. 

The Weeknd collected most billboard music awards including top artist, top male artist, and top Hot 100 artist.

Duran Duran celebrates 40th anniversary of debut on Billboard music award by singing eclectic medley with songs like “Notorious,” their first top 10 hits “Hungry Like the Wolf,” and the vibey lead single “Invisible” from their anticipated 15th album Future Past — with that album’s contributor, Blur guitarist Graham Coxon. 

Alicia Keys also celebrated her 20th anniversary with an introduction from Michelle Obama. This year’s Billboard Music Award took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
