Cuomo Prime Time host Chris Cuomo dug up details on Andrew Cuomo’s accusers of sexual harassment using his media connections, according to texts and transcripts recently revealed.
After multiple women complained about sexual harassment, Andrew Cuomo resigned as Governor of New York in August, and New York’s attorney general’s office published a report that found Cuomo engaged in sexual misconduct and created a hostile work environment.
Letitia James has released text messages that show Chris Cuomo was in regular communication with Andrew Cuomo’s top aide at the time, Melissa DeRosa.
According to the New York Times, the former governor tried kissing a woman, Anna Ruch, without her consent in early March. Within three days of this report, Chris Cuomo texted DeRosa, saying, “I have a lead on the wedding girl.”

Other messages indicate that Chris Cuomo is willing to help with his brother’s response to the sexual harassment allegations. “Let me help with the preparation,” Cuomo told DeRosa in one text.
Another text message from Chris Cuomo to DeRosa stated, in full, “I will not resign, I cannot resign.” “I understand political pressure and political warfare, which is what this is… And I understand the conformity that can be forced through cancel culture.”
Cuomo sent DeRosa a text that said: “Politicians are saying 1-2 more people will come out tomorrow.” Can you verify? Crumo replied, “On it.” He then continued, “No one has heard that yet.”

Cuomo and DeRosa also discussed an investigative piece by Ronan Farrow four days before it was published in the New Yorker on March 18. “If Ronan has nothing better than Boylan, that’s a great sign,” Chris Cuomo texted DeRosa on March 14.
More revelations about Chris Cuomo
In March of 2021, The New York Times published an exposé about the former governor’s unwanted attempt to kiss Anna Ruch.
According to the transcript published on Monday, Chris Cuomo texted DeRosa, “I have a lead on the wedding girl.”
On March 12, Cuomo sent prepared statements to DeRosa, hoping his brother would use them.
Additionally, Chris Cuomo said that he reached out to sources in the media to learn more about the accusers. So, he can get ahead of any future accusations.
According to investigators, Chris Cuomo said, “When asked, I would go to my sources to see if anybody else had come out,”. He further adds that an unnamed source had suggested, “maybe she had been set up.”
CNN’s parent company, Warner Media, denied that Andrew Cuomo used Chris Cuomo’s prepared remarks.
A representative for Warner Media told that the claim that Chris dictated his brother’s statements is false. It is not evident in the exhibits or transcript. If you carefully read the text messages in the exhibit, any mention of a statement refers to its making public.”
Later, CNN said in a statement that the transcripts “deserve a thorough review and consideration.”
After releasing the transcripts, Andrew Cuomo’s spokesperson Azzopardi accused James of “abusing her government power to leverage her political future.”
Azzopardi said James acted illegally when she appointed biased reviewers and admitted personally interfering with the investigation. We are seeing today the typical manipulation of witness testimony with selective redactions by hand-picked witnesses.”

The fact that she decides to release a few transcripts minutes before a rival declares for governor is no coincidence. Azzopardi said in his statement. The misuse of government resources to harm political opponents by James and her colleagues is as obvious and repugnant. Additionally, it is unethical as well as illegal.
