With NFT’s become more and more popular each day, Disney too has joined the bandwagon with its own series of NFT’s! The popular platform released the most iconic Mickey Mouse NFT Collection on December 22 and we can’t help but gush over their cuteness!

The pack features Mickey’s most iconic “hot diggety dog” moments. Disney partnered with digital collectibles platform Veve to release 40,000 pieces. Each piece is in a blind box and thus, buyers won’t know the rarity of their purchase until after they’ve bought it. Veve described the pack saying, 

“The Disney Mickey Mouse NFT Collection features The True Original himself, Mickey Mouse! Celebrating some of Mickey’s most iconic moments, this collection highlights the cultural phenomenon and evolution of Mickey in his many forms and costumes.” 

The collection can be bought online via Veve’s iOS and Android app. It is worth $2.3 million and is almost sold out!

Collection Pieces 

Series 1 of the NFT collection revolves around the iconic 1928 Mickey Mouse who made his appearance in Disney’s Steamboat Willie. All images are black and white and feature Mickey steering the wheel of a ship. 

The pack consists of three different types of NFT’s. Each type further consists of hundreds of unique pieces.

“A Jaunty Jig”- These NFT’s feature Mickey dancing and having the time of his life aboard his ship on a beautiful day. VeVe describes it as “a carefree and content Steamboat Mickey, looking ahead, dancing, and enjoying a beautiful day on his ship”. A Jaunty Jig consists of 18,928 editions all of which are common. They can be bought for $60 a piece globally. 

“A Happy Whistle”- A classic Mickey pose with his eyes closed as he whistles the tune of his favorite song and moves his hips. 13,928 editions of this NFT are available for purchase at the price of $60 each. The rarity of all the pieces is “Uncommon.” 

“All Together, Now”- The premium Mickey Mouse NFT collections consisting of 6,928 Ultra Rare editions retails for $60 each. It is described as Mickey “standing proudly on a base inspired by the animation discs which sat atop all the great animators’ desks at Walt Disney Animation Studios”.
