Alice in borderland season 2: Release Date
The Alice in Borderland Season 2 does not have a confirmed release date yet. However the good news is that the streaming site hasn’t canceled the show which means a second season will definitely premiere.
All that we know up till now is that the sequel will be released in December of 2022. Which is still quite far away from us. Although the show was released in 2020 it rose to fame in September of 2021 because of Netflix’s Squid Game. Due to the similar plot the audience binged Alice in Borderland as well. The total count of episodes is also unknown. But we are expecting that it will be around 8-10 episodes.
The filming schedule for the second season is not known either so we can’t exactly predict if the filming for the series has begun. The first 31 chapters of the manga got explored in the first season. Now we are left with around 33 chapters. So, there is plenty of content which can make a part of the second installment. Which means the second season might be the last one. However considering the popularity of the show it won’t not be surprising if Netflix announces more seasons beyond the sequel. But these are just our speculations so it is better to focus on the second season for now.

The trailer or any sort of promotional footage from Alice in Borderland is not out yet! This is mainly because we only have the renewal confirmation. It will take time for the trailer to release. Our safest bet for the release date of the trailer is to land somewhere in September or October of 2022. Because the sequel is scheduled to premiere in December.

There is no confirmation on who will return in the sequel either. But of course the main cast is bound to come. So, expect Kento Yamazaki as Arisu and Tao Tsuchiya as Usagi to be there definitely. Other than them, Kuina, Rizuna and Shuntaro also have high chances of getting featured in the second installment.
Given the plot of the first season, the majority of the first season died. So, don’t expect them to return. Unless they appear in the flashback scenes or if the second season serves as a prequel. These characters and their actors are:

The finale of the first season left the show in a very open ended situation. Anything can happen in the sequel! As mentioned earlier, it is based on a manga series. And as the first season followed the main plot most likely the sequel will also be set in the same footsteps.
Mira Kano got introduced in the last episodes of the first season. And she can be an integral part of the sequel. Arisu and Usagi will have to find the final cards for which they’ll clash with the Queen of Hearts, aka Mira Kano. the director in an interview revealed that he has the outline for the show!
