Moreover it has been on air for 15 successful seasons. It won’t be a surprise if the 16th season also returns to the screens. And from the looks of it the show will get renewed in 2022 and the chances of it releasing are somewhere in 2023.
The 15th season released only after 2 months of the finale of the 14th season. The production usually takes 6 months in total. And as the 15th season recently ended in December of 2021. We are hoping for some sort of news until September. The finale was titled “Leaving a Legacy” so does this mean that the show won’t return for one more season? Well it is for the creators to decide. But yes this might be possible because there are certain factors which determine the fate of the show. Although the viewership has been good there might not be more content to produce. There is no confirmed lineup for the cast of Heartland Season 16 yet. But we are expecting the core cast to remain unchanged. So the following will be there if the 16th season of Heartland goes on air:

There might be new additions in the cast as well! That solely depends on how the writers are willing to continue with the story. In the past 15 seasons they have never once disappointed us with the character arcs most likely the 16th season will also follow in the same footsteps. Graham Wardle’s time on the show has unfortunately ended. He won’t be there in the upcoming season.
Most likely the characters of Lyndy, Katie, and Parker will get more screen time. Because considering the events of the past season the plot might be in their favor. There is also potential for Katie and Parker’s romantic life. After all, we never got to see the two of them together in the past seasons.

According to some reports the plot for Heartland Season 16 has already been decided upon. But it is being kept under wraps because of obvious reasons. The story will most likely be told in continuity so expect the upcoming season to pick up from where the 15th season ended.

As there is no release date for Heartland Season 16 yet obviously there is no trailer either. Not just the trailer but there is no sort of promotional footage either. Expect to get teasers or trailers 2 to 3 months prior to the premiere of the 16th installment. So, they’ll either release by the end of this year or maybe in 2023.
