Moon Knight Cast

The titular role is played by the phenomenal Oscar Isaac. His character is named Steven Grant and is a normal sales person (and Moon Knight). The main villain is Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, May Calamawy (Ramy) in an unknown role, Lucy Thackeray as Donna, F. Murray Abraham has lent his voice for the mighty Egyptian moon god ‘Khonshu’, and Gaspard Ulliel will appear as Anton Mogart (or Midnight Man).

But this was the core cast of course there will be other supporting side characters too. And who knows which cross over we’ll get this time! Jeremy Slater penned down the plot of Moon Knight and there are several talented people erving as the director.

The entire cast is pretty hyped about the show. Oscar Isaac revealed in an interview that this upcoming  Disney project is one of the most fun ones he has ever had. It is a very different role for him and in the entirety of 8 months he had immense fun filming it! Ethan Hawke did not shy away from showing his excitement either. In fact he even revealed that he got to know about the project through Oscar Isaac himself. Woah, that’s interesting!

Trailer

The trailer for Moon Knight came out on 14th March and it quite literally broke down the internet. From the looks of the trailer it is clear that the upcoming series is going to be the darkest one out of all Disney shows. Well yes the Netflix Marvel shows were also pretty dark but we are not sure if Moon Knight will match the same level.

The trailer showed Oscar Isaac in his element and the gothic costume of his character gave us the chills! The trailer also suggested that the plot will follow the comic closely which means that it will go in detail about the origin of our hero and all other sorts of details. Well that is a relief indeed.

This time instead of New York City, get used to seeing London’s streets because that is where you will get to see Specter in the moment! But how does a normal clerk turn into someone so powerful? Well this is because he comes in contact with the Egyptian God Khonsu. He comes under his control and due to this deity poor Spector  develops Dissociative Identity Disorder which will play a major role in the storyline of the show. So, you’ll get to see the main character as 4 different characters which are namely:

  • Marc Spector
  • Moon Knight
  • Jake Lockley
  • Steven Grant

All of these different identities will forge together to make the hero what he is! And Khonshu will then serve justice in the world. This is definitely an interesting plot but we hope that it sticks to the main story of the comics. Because in the past the shows which did not follow the main story closely were doomed! But which one of these 4 identities will get focused on more? Well as mentioned before the show is only 6 episodes long with each episode lasting for around 40 to 50 minutes hence it is clear that each identity wont get explored in detail. By the looks of the trailer and Disney’s official issued plot synopsis it seems like Steven Grant is the main one!

But then what about the rest of them? They can make up the plot of the following seasons. However let it be clear that for now Kevin Feige has only ordered the show as a single season which means that a sequel is not confirmed to return. But of course if the show does well in terms of ratings and viewership it won’t be a surprise if Moon Knight gets more than just one season.
