According to a new trailer, the animated Disney+ series Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 will premiere in Fall 2022. The series centers on experimental and elite clones of the Bad Batch introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Just two months ahead of the two-part Season 1 finale, the series got its renewal in August 2021.
Recently, Disney has revealed the video and release date in an announcement at Star Wars Celebration 2022, and it hints that some time has gone since the first season, as our crew appears to have aged and is dressed in new costumes. We also expect that Emperor Palpatine and Commander Cody will appear in this season, as well as a Wookiee Jedi who may or may not be Gungi.
The Bad Batch is over on Disney+, but Clone Force 99 and Omega will still be on the streaming service. The animated series was renewed for a second season in advance of its two-part finale. This is a good thing, too, as our time with the Batch did not exactly end on a high one. Possibly season 2 of The Bad Batch will end their story.
The second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch was revealed before the two-part finale of the first season, which could have set up Palpatine’s return in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Where will the show move next, and when will the second installment of the Batch’s tale be released? Let us see!
The Bad Batch Season 2: Release Date
The good news is that the Bad Batch’s new season will premiere on Disney+ in 2022, but there are no plans for a May premiere.
Moreover, the Bad Batch’s new season will offer some protection between the two series, providing more content for Star Wars fans while allowing their tent pole shows to have the cultural impact they desire.
The Bad Batch Season 2: Cast
Despite the tremendous amount of damage in “Kamino Lost,” everyone survived the season’s conclusion. As a result, all of the Batch members, including Omega and the young clones droid, should be returning.
We expect the following cast to return in Season 2 cast is likely to be as follows:
- Bradley Baker portrays Dee The Batch and the Regser.
- As Omega, Michelle Ang
- Cid, played by Rhea Perlman
- Vice Admiral Rampart is Noshir Dalal.
- Nala Se (Gwendoline Yeo)
- As Admiral Tarkin, Stephen Stanton
- As AZI-3, Ben Diskin
Plot
We expect that Season 2 of The Bad Batch will have a split plot once more, following the conclusion of season 1. Even though the air between Crosshair and the rest of the Batch had been cleared, they had cut ties because they genuinely believed and desired different things.
While their sharpshooter waits for the Empire to come back and find him, the Batch is any way to be fighters once more. They are not now on opposing sides of a simmering conflict, but in the second season, they will undoubtedly be.
The duel between Crosshair and his siblings will resurface in the upcoming season. The Batch will have to choose whether to fight alongside the rebels or keep out of the conflict entirely at some time. Their disagreement with the regime’s actions means the Kingdom is not a choice for them.
There is also the final scene, in which we can see Nala Se transporting to an Imperial cell. The Empire now has authority over its scientific theories and cloning technologies. It is unclear where they will go with this story element, but we may see it again in season 2.
