Season 2 was a hit, and it uncovered a somewhat surprising mystery. Big Sky season 3 will be no less. And so, we are sure you are super excited about it! Hence, here are all the details about it.
Big Sky Season 3 Release Date
Big Sky has been officially renewed in May 2022. The news was confirmed via a statement on the show’s official Twitter page saying:
“We’re staying under the #BigSky, so stay tuned for Season 3 when we return to ABC!”
However, a release date hasn’t been confirmed yet. But by looking at the show’s previous release date pattern, we can predict that the official release date will lie in the months of early 2023.
Big Sky Season 3 Cast
We’ve got a few details about the cast of Big Sky’s latest season. Viewers can expect the following main cast to return.
- Katheryn Winnick as Jenny Hoyt
- Kylie Bunbury as Cassie Dewell
- Brian Geraghty as Ronald Pergman
- Dedee Pfeiffer as Denise Brisbane
- Omar Metwally as Mark Lindor
- Anja Savcic as Scarlet Leyendecker
- Janina Gavankar as Ren Bhullar
Besides these, Supernatural star Jensen Ackles will be becoming a series regular for the third season after making an appearance in the season 2 finale. He will play the role of Beau Arlen, a new acting sheriff for the town, while Sheriff Tubb steps down for now. So, Arlen, the good ol’ Texas boy, will have to buckle up as he will have a significant job in the town, from handling things to helping Cassie and Jenny solve cases. Ackles will be joining the ABC drama for only season 3 as he has signed a one-year contract with the network.
In addition to Ackles taking on the role of Beau, viewers will also get to see another cast member become a regular in Montana. We all saw Jamie-Lynn Sigler in season 2 play the role of Tonya. She appeared in the second season a couple of times, and her character developed throughout the season. She became an essential part of the local crime family. So it makes sense why the writers would want her story to continue in the third season.
Finally, Reba McEntire will also be a series regular for David E. Kelley’s ABC drama Big Sky. She will play the role of Sunny Brick, a mercurial matriarch from the Brick Family whose customers often go missing.
There is no trailer for the third season as it still hasn’t begun filming. The writers are still finalizing the script to ensure that Big Sky season 3 surpasses every viewer’s expectations. And even after production is complete, the trailer will only premiere a couple of weeks before the actual season airs.
