The Lost King Release Date
The Lost King is directed by Stephen Frears and based on Steve Coogan and Jeff Pope’s screenplay. The news of the movie’s arrival was announced in 2020, and casting began in 2021. Now almost two years later, we have an official release date!
Finally, BBC announced the release date for The Lost King! The movie will come out on October 7, 2022, in the U.K. However, we do not have an international release date as of yet!

The Lost King has a spectacular cast with Oscar nominee actress Sally Hawkins playing the role of the lead character- Philippa Langley. It is based on the true story of Philippa Langley. She was an amateur historian who became obsessed with finding the grave of Richard III. Although the people around her made fun of her, Philippa did not give up and finally found the remains of England’s mighty King. Her unrelenting will pave her way to becoming one of the most iconic historians. Producer, Writer, and Actor Steve Coogan praised Philippa’s extraordinary courage saying,
