The show was first announced in 2019, but it had to suffer delays because of the pandemic. Hence don’t expect the second season to take much time for its production. As mentioned earlier, the first season was based on the novel by Thomas Perry. The first season has pretty much covered that part of the story; hence it will have to stray away from the main plot a bit. Why? Because unfortunately, Thomas Perry has not written the sequel yet. So, they’ll most likely explore a different plot. As there is no plot synopsis, it is hard to predict the storyline. However, all that we can do for now is rely on theories.
John Steinberg did talk about the second season in an interview. He mentioned that the show is all about characters and their fight against mortality, especially Don Chase. Chase has almost always dodged death but now that he has grown old and lonely, will he be able to keep up with all this? And now is the time when it will hit him that it is over. So, expect the main theme to revolve around mortality. Other than this, expect the second season to explore the finale cliffhanger.
