Apple has yet to announce the release of the New MacBook Pro 2022. The company is relatively quiet about the upcoming MacBook Pro M2 Max and M2 Pro. However, we fully anticipate the release of these devices before the end of the year.
The 13-inch M2 CPU MacBook Pro and the latest 13-inch MacBook Air were both released in 2022. We have yet to see releases of Apple’s 14- or 16-inch MacBooks this year. Some credible sources, including Mark Gurman, have speculated that a new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Max and M2 Pro CPU options will be released in the coming months. Please continue reading below for all of the most up-to-date information. We will also shed light on more detailed forecast about the New MacBook Pro 2022.
New MacBook Pro 2022: Release Date
Known Apple prognosticator Mark Gurman has speculated in his Bloomberg tech column that the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBooks could be released in November. The prediction follows a pattern of previous launch history.
Apple typically releases new MacBooks during one of two major time windows each year:
- the first one is between the months of May and July,
- and the second one is between October and November.
In light of the fact that the release date of May–July 2023 for the MacBook Pro M2 Max and M2 Pro appears to be quite late. It appears likely that we will see the new devices launched at some point this November. However, it is just speculation.
The typical New MacBook Pro 2022 release date is around ten days after the product announcement. Therefore, we can probably expect the 2022 model to be available sometime in late November or early December.

When To Expect A New MacBook Pro 2022?
When Apple introduces a new product, it typically does so earlier in the week, most frequently on a Tuesday. Actual release dates (when you can buy the product and take it home) are usually a week after the Friday of the same week after the launch or ten days later.
If we assume that the New MacBook Pro 2022 will be announced and released in the first week of November, then the most likely release window for the MacBook Pro 2022 is the 11th of November to the 2nd of December.
To be clear, this is still just a guess, but it’s the best one we can make right now.

Design
The fans are out for disappointment if they expected Apple to make any significant changes to the look of these two larger MacBook Pro models. In 2021, Apple introduced two new screen sizes (14 and 16 inches) and their ProMotion technology. As well as dropped the Touch Bar and introduced a notch to set their laptops apart from the 13-inch MacBook Pro. According to Gurman,
“the external design of the MacBook Pro will remain roughly the same.”

Specs
According to the report by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, sources suggest that the M2 Max could have a total of 12 CPU cores.
The addition of two more CPU cores is one of many modifications that might result in a faster CPU. There were rumors that Apple would begin manufacturing its M3 chips using the brand-new 3nm process as soon as the chips became available. The 3nm process should, among other things, make it possible to achieve an even higher transistor density.

Additionally, Gurman recommends a maximum of 38 GPU cores. It is an increase of six over what the M1 Max offered. There is a good chance that the New MacBook Pro 2022 models will come with an increased amount of RAM. Apple increased the amount of RAM in the M2 MacBooks from 16GB (the maximum in the M1) to 24GB.
A similar improvement could, in theory, mean that we see as much as 48GB RAM in the Pro model and 96GB RAM in the Max model. MacRumors reported that the new MacBook Pro would have “high-bandwidth, high-speed RAM,”. It could mean LPDDR5X RAM with 300GB/s (M2 Pro) and 600GB/s (M2 Max) memory bandwidth.
