Welcome to Wrexham Season 3 FX Confirms Release Date and Time

Wrexham Association Football Club owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are bringing back Welcome to Wrexham for season 3 on FX. It is a sports documentary series about Welsh association football club Wrexham A.F.C. and its journey together as a team.

It is different from other sports documentaries as it has two stars owning the club. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought the club in November 2020. Ever since, they have been on a rollercoaster of emotions, navigating the highs and lows alongside the team.

Welcome to Wrexham season 3: Release Date

Welcome to Wrexham Season 3 will mark its first appearance on FX on April 18, 2024, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. It will be available to stream on Hulu on April 19, 2024. The release date announcement was made on Twitter on February 9, 2024.

This time, Welcome to Wrexham will air earlier than the expected release date. The previous two seasons, covering the previous soccer seasons, were released during the fall.

Furthermore, the highly-awaited series release date has been announced, but the official trailer for the season is still under wraps. The Welcome to Wrexham series follows the dreams of Wrexham F.C. players living in a working-class town in North Wales. The well-known Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney supervise them.

Season 3 Cast

The documentary shows interviews with the cast about real-life events. However, declaring who will star in a documentary series can be tricky. Yet we can count on seeing Rob McElhenny and Ryan Reynolds lead the way again. The team’s lineup might shift slightly in Season 3 as they make changes, so expect to see some new faces among the strikers, goalies, forwards, and defenders.

Also, keep an eye out for the Wrexham A.F.C. players – they’re a big part of the story. The series also features interviews with different people from Wrexham, so the lineup of fans will change from episode to episode, too. And it’s likely that Wrexham A.F.C. executive Humphrey Kerr and Phil Parkinson, the team’s manager, will be back.

The show is produced by Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Nick Frenkel, George Dewey, Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Jordan Wynn. In addition to these names, More Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions, and 3 Arts Entertainment also help feature the show.

Plot

In season 2, the players finally secured the position they dreamed of. They will have to fight back more potently this season to ensure they don’t slip off this place.

Season 2 started with enthusiasm and lots of sports spirit. After multiple setbacks and failures, the club made its name by defeating Coventry City in the FA Cup. Unlike the previous record, Wrexham won against Notts County 3-2 at their home stadium, Racecourse Ground, in season 2. They secured the National League Championship by beating Boreham Wood (3-1). The show ends with the team celebrating their promotion to the English Football League. Although season 2 had a happy ending, let’s see what the forthcoming season has in store.

Here, our coverage ends. Stay tuned for more updates from all across the globe.
