The Plot
According to the official description, we are in for a glimpse into Po’s struggles as he plans to become the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace. To retain the title of Dragon Warrior, he must take on the challenge of training a new fighter. Will this be a smooth task for Po? The answer awaits when the movie hits screens!
In addition, Po has encountered three death-defying fights with world-class villains, each time relying on his martial arts skills and unmatched courage that have never failed him. So, Po understands the gravity of his role as a Dragon Warrior.
Po departs the Valley of Peace for a big city, where a new enemy awaits him. The new villain, the Chameleon, possesses extraordinary abilities. The Chameleon aims to take on the Dragon Warrior and spice things up. She can mimic Po’s past enemies’ powers, leading to an epic survival of the fittest.
This means we are set to encounter the powers of the antagonists from the first two Kung Fu Panda films, Tai Lung (Ian McShane) and Lord Shen (Gary Oldman).

What Does the Director Say About Po?
Director Mike Mitchell generously shared intricate details about Po’s dynamic with the new villain. Po and Chameleon share surprising similarities. Like Po, who was initially underestimated but exceeded expectations to become the Dragon Warrior, Chameleon overcame misconceptions to become a formidable villain.
He said, “If you remember, Po was completely underestimated. No one thought he could be the Dragon Warrior. “How is the portly panda gonna fight and use kung fu?” And then he does it! He does it in his own way. He doesn’t change who he is; he doesn’t change the shape of his body; he uses it in certain ways. So, similarly, this Chameleon is very small in stature; no one believed that she could be so powerful; no one believed that she could do kung fu; and like Po, she rose to the top of her game. So Po has become the greatest hero, and now she’s the greatest villain. That’s mostly what I’m willing to tell you about their connection right now.”
With both characters having worked hard to achieve their goals, the clash between them will be nothing short of epic. In addition to facing the new villain, Po takes on the responsibility of training someone else to become a Dragon Warrior. Knowing that he cannot maintain peace alone, Po uses his unique approach to dig for this potential fighter.
