The Inside Out sequel welcomes Riley Andersen to the teenage phase of her life, where emotions lead the way more than logic. Puberty not only brings new challenges but also introduces new emotions that she struggle to control. Director Kelsey Mann and producer Mark Nielsen have saved the date for Inside Out 2’s launch. Inside Out 2 will hit theaters on June 14, 2024.
The sequel to the American animated coming-of-age movie was announced in 2022 at the 2022 D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. Pixar also shared it on the official Pixar Twitter page.

Inside Out 2: A New Trailer
The trailer for Inside Out 2 welcomes four more emotions into now-teenager Riley’s mind. So this time, Envy, Ennui, Embarrassment, and Anxiety will join Joy, Fear, Disgust, Anger, and Sadness. Will our young Riley be able to handle all of these together and stay happy?
The official trailer shows the uneasiness between the new and regular emotions as Riley bottles away the old emotions. The new emotion, Anxiety, believes, “Riley’s life requires more sophisticated emotions than all of you!”

The Official Plot Synopsis
The official plot synopsis for Inside Out 2 reads:
“Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2″ returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up.”
Unraveling the Cast Members
Pixar Animation Studios’ Inside Out 2 cast consists of several voice actors who will help Riley through her high school years. Previous actors will play the original emotions except Bill Hader (Fear) and Mindy Kaling (Disgust), whom Tony Hale and Liza Lapira will replace. The sudden change is due to the reported contractual issues.
