    Rick and Morty Season 8 Release Date Delayed

    The creators of Rick and Morty have delayed Season 8. The reason for the delay in Rick and Morty’s Season 8 is the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike that took place last year. This strike disrupted the writing process for new episodes. Hollywood Studios’ hesitation in resolving the strike contributed to the delay. This ultimately led to the realization that Season 8 wouldn’t be ready to air in 2024.

    Rick and Morty Season 8: Release Window

    Rick and Morty Season 8 will air sometime in 2025. The delay means that 2024 will be the first year without new episodes of the sci-fi series since 2018.

    Although Season 8 won’t premiere in 2024, a Japanese anime spin-off television series titled “Rick and Morty: The Anime” will be released this year. The series is helmed by Takashi Sano, known for his work on The Tower of God. Sano has directed two anime shorts set in the Rick and Morty universe: “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider” and “Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil).”

    The anime is a separate project and does not rely on previous material from the Rick and Morty series. Its first season, featuring ten episodes, is developed and produced by Telecom Animation Film. Adult Swim has recently dropped the first footage as a sneak peek for the show:

    Regarding the upcoming anime, Sano stated, “The multiverse-straddling exploits of Rick and the gang pose challenges to the family bond, but they always rise to the occasion. It’s such a life-affirming sight, and Jerry is no exception. I am honored to have been given an opportunity to tell a new story about this amazing family. I hope you enjoy their adventures!”

    Given the distant release of Season 8, you can treat yourself to the anime version for now.

    What to Expect From Season 8?

    Anticipating what’s next in the Rick and Morty storyline is always challenging. In an interview with The Verge, co-creator Dan Harmon hinted that Season 8 will give the show a distinct feel. 

    Harmon said: “Season 7 just represents one more brick in that road, and it’s season 8, which is already written; when that comes out, I think it’ll be even more so. It’ll feel like a return to form and kind of like a “we’re back, baby” kind of feeling, and hopefully, season 9 will be that but, you know, even more so. But it’ll be because it’s been a gradual process of trying to get our wind in our sails again.”

    Flaco the Owl cause of death is surfacing on the internet. On February 23, 2024, a large crowd gathered for Flaco, the Eurasian eagle-owl’s funeral, presuming his death due to colliding with a building. Further investigation revealed additional factors contributing to his accident.

    A necropsy report has finally disclosed Flaco the Owl cause of death to be ‘acute traumatic injuries’ from flying into the building. Bronx Zoo veterinary pathologists conducted a necropsy. The report also concluded that he had poison and a virus, which would have killed him anyway. He was the target of these infectious diseases after living in Manhattan for more than a year.

    On Monday, the Wildlife Conservation Society, responsible for operating both the Central Park and Bronx Zoos, articulated the matter. 

    According to the necropsy results, “He had a severe pigeon herpesvirus from eating feral pigeons that had become part of his diet, and exposure to four different anticoagulant rodenticides that are commonly used for rat control in New York City. The identified herpesvirus can be carried by healthy pigeons but may cause fatal disease in birds of prey including owls infected by eating pigeons. Flaco’s severe illness and death are ultimately attributed to a combination of factors — infectious disease, toxin exposures, and traumatic injuries — that underscore the hazards faced by wild birds, especially in an urban setting.”

    The zoo officials cleared the case by explaining the cause of death. They said, “In addition to the traumatic injuries, Flaco had two significant underlying conditions.”

    Flaco not only suffered a head injury, but he also had four kinds of rat poison and had “pigeon herpesvirus” from eating feral pigeons in his system. The WCS press release stated that “the viral infection caused severe tissue damage and inflammation in many organs, including the spleen, liver, gastrointestinal tract, bone marrow, and brain.” 

    “It’s hard to tell if one of these was the predominate cause of illness and death, but certainly the fact that he had those three things happening, any one of which could have been fatal,” added Dr. Paul Calle, chief veterinarian for the Wildlife Conservation Society.

    The Central Park Zoo stated, “These factors would have been debilitating and ultimately fatal, even without a traumatic injury, and may have predisposed him to flying into or falling from the building.”

    Central Park Zoo’s Role in Flaco’s Death

    Other than these significant factors, toxicology results revealed the presence of DDE, a byproduct of the pesticide DDT. However, according to the Central Park Zoo, the amount was minute and could not contribute to his declining health.

    Flaco was a beloved and famous bird in the city. Rita McMahon, director of the Wild Bird Fund, stated, “Everyone was connected with that bird and he was a fabulous ambassador. Just inspiring with his own life.”

    49-year-old Jolen Waldref passed away on January 15, 2024. After two months, authorities have finally determined Joelen Waldref cause of death. Here’s everything you should know about the case.

    What is Joelen Waldref Cause of Death?

    Joelen Waldref cause of death was hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office finally reported the cause of death on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

    Her last location was found to be at a bus stop near the Milwaukee intersection, where she was found lying down on the ground. During her struggle, she called 911, but her case was pushed as a low-priority case.

    What Happened on T hat Day?

    Waldref, at the bus stop, started having difficulty breathing. Her first instinct was to call for help. On January 15, at 5:22 p.m., she called 911. Here’s how the conversion went:

    “911. Where is your emergency?”

    “I cannot breathe.”

    “Can you say that one more time? Caller? Caller? Hello, caller. Can you hear me?”

    “I can’t breathe.”

    “Okay, I’m going to transfer you over to medical. When they get on the line, I’ll speak first.”

    After a while, the 911 operator transferred the call to another operator. In Milwaukee, all medical calls, including Waldref’s, are initially managed by a police 911 operator before being transferred to an operator with the city fire department. The first operator told the second one that Waldref “possibly stated she can’t breathe.”

    “Police for medical. Caller’s possibly stated she can’t breathe.”

    “Oh my God!” Waldref said.

    “What is the address, please?” asked the dispatcher.

    “I’m on the corner of 76th and Congress. (Inaudible) for the bus,” Waldref said.

    “Tell me what happened,” the dispatcher said.

    “I don’t know,” she replied.

    “Well, what’s the reason you’re calling for medical help?” the dispatcher asked.

    “I feel lightheaded and dizzy,” Waldref added.

    The medical dispatcher inquired about Waldref’s breathing, heart health, and whether she was experiencing abdominal pain. The authorities redacted Waldref’s responses to protect patient privacy.

    During a briefing, Curtis Ambulance President Jim Baker stated, “We received the call originally to respond at 17:23 and 54 seconds. The ambulance arrived at 76th & Congress four minutes later.” 

    Twenty-two minutes after the Curtis ambulances departed without locating Waldref, Charlotte Morris, a passerby, discovered her without a pulse. Waldref was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:13 PM.

    How Did 911 Handle the Case?

    After her call, the ambulance crew was sent without lights and sirens. A few minutes later, they left the location without stepping out of the vehicle to check on her.

    A Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office report dated January 22 referenced a Milwaukee police officer who had observed something. He stated that the surveillance footage depicted Waldref slipping on ice and striking her head against a fence.

    The report noted the absence of external trauma on Waldref’s body. It was presumed that she might have lost consciousness due to the fall or extreme cold.

    The medical examiner’s office had stated that it was investigating Waldref’s death as a probable case of hypothermia, pending final determination following toxicology tests.

    However, the recent, concise report from the medical examiner’s office released on Tuesday omitted any mention of subzero temperatures or hypothermia as contributing factors, instead classifying Joelen Waldref cause of death as “natural.”

    The Cast of the Upcoming Movie

    The creators have yet to announce the cast. There are a few updates regarding the old cast member, Auli’i Cravalho. The renowned actress will not be reprising her role as the main lead. She confirmed the news on May 19, 2023, through a video on Instagram. She stated, “When I was cast as Moana at 14, it wonderfully changed my life and started my career. In this live-action retelling, I will not be reprising the role. I believe it is absolutely vital the casting accurately represents the characters and stories we want to tell.”

    Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced to Entertainment Tonight that they had cast a new Moana for the film.

    Why Has Batman 2 Been Delayed?

    Reportedly, the sequel to Batman’s movie faced postponements because of the strikes in Hollywood in 2023. Due to ongoing strikes, the writers who created the story and the actors who played the characters couldn’t do their jobs for a while. They need more time to finish writing the script or filming the scenes, so the movie has been delayed. Still, the filming of the movie has yet to be started.

    The silence after the announcement of the sequel was too loud. It was when one of the cast members, Jeffrey Wright, who played James Gordon, commented indirectly about the incompletion of the script during the Critics Choice Awards. From there, DC fans learned the movie would be released later.

    Batman’s Wright stated, “You’ve seen as much of a script as I have at this point. I don’t want to jump ahead. I just want to go forward with it.”

    He continued, “Clearly, I’m Lieutenant Gordon at the end of the first film, so we may be moving up in the ranks, I suppose, but I haven’t seen anything yet. I’m being patient, letting [director] Matt Reeves do his thing—which is going to be magical and wonderful—and looking forward to diving back into it when the time comes.”

    Matt Reeves and his co-writer Mattson Tomlin titled the next film, Batman 2, in January 2023, just a few months before the writer’s strike. The strike lasted almost five months and made it impossible to shoot the next sequel. The plan to shoot in November 2023 went up in smoke following the unforeseen strike.

    When Will The Batman 2 Come Out?

    Now, The Batman 2 will be released on October 2, 2026. The Batman sequel, The Batman 2, was announced in January 2023. Warner Bros. Pictures revealed that the second sequel would be out on October 3, 2025. Since the announcement, Hollywood has turned upside down due to strikes. Also, the shooting for the movie has been impossible to plan.

    Two more movies are lining up for 2025, including Paul Thomas Anderson’s untitled movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, Alana Haim, and Chase Infiniti, which will now be released on August 8, 2025. The second movie has also been pushed back a year to November 24, 2024. Barry Levinson’s Alto Knights, starring Robert De Niro, will now be released on March 21, 2025.

    Disclosing the Cast Members

    When the sequel was announced in 2023, only Robert Pattinson was confirmed to reprise his role as the main lead. Now, with much more detail, it is believed that Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin) will return.

    Moreover, Colin Farrell will also reprise his role in the TV series The Penguin. The series navigates his life as he goes from being a nobody to Gotham’s most-known gangster after Carmine Falcone’s (John Turturro) death.

    Batman’s love interest for the next sequel remains a question. Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman/Selina Kyle may return to the screen. However, there are chances that Matt Reeves might hold her off. Besides Kravitz’s return, Paul Dano’s and Barry Keoghan’s casting remains unanswered.

    Why Is It Called Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

    We do not know why the game is called Pokemon Legends Z-A, but the name of the upcoming game refers to multiple Pokemon Lore. The AZ combination is apparent to the immortal king responsible for Mega Evolution; however, adding the Z letter resonates within the Pokemon community.

    The Z in the title of the game can be the signature element. It can go back to the game’s history and refer to the move, for example, Z moves. It could also be a strategic element of the game and its fresh game features. However, there is also no denying that there seems to be a reference to Zygarde in the logo, even if there is no confirmation from the company.

    The first announcement of the game intrigued many. However, the launch title sparked curiosity about why it was named Pokemon Z-A. Apple executives have reportedly described iOS 18 as “ambitious and compelling.” Gurman suggests that there is a chance that it will be the “biggest” software update in the iPhone’s history, featuring a “slew of new AI features.” He says it is safe to assume that this update will be significant.

    Moreover, Gurman has hinted at Apple enhancing home screen customization in iOS 18. This could allow users to place apps wherever they prefer on the grid instead of using the current auto-alignment. However, the exact details of this customization are still unclear.

    RCS Support

    Besides the exciting AI feature, Apple confirmed another functionality most believe will be part of iOS 18. The company confirmed RCS support for iPhones 2024 last November.

    RCS, which stands for Rich Communication Services, is a texting technology Android messaging apps use. Apple has confirmed that its iMessage platform will still be exclusive to iPhone users. However, there’s a change coming regarding texting from iPhones to Androids. While the distinction between green and blue bubbles will remain, there should be better communication between the two platforms. This means features like typing indicators and read receipts could work when texting Android users from your iPhone.

    Like many iOS updates, iOS 18 may introduce additional accessibility features. According to MacRumors, industry sources suggest three new accessibility features:

    1. Adaptive Voice Shortcuts: Users can create a unique spoken phrase linked to an accessibility setting.
    2. New “Categories” section in Live Speech: Building on iOS 17’s Live Speech feature, iOS 18 may add a user-created categories section for organizing desired phrases.
