Prime Video will release Them Season 2 on April 25, 2024, continuing the black horror themes. The streaming platform also revealed the eight-episode-long series plan along with the show’s debut date.

On April 9, 2021, Prime Video released the original season of Them, introducing us to a black family from North Carolina. The series started with them moving into an all-white Los Angeles neighbourhood in the 1950s. Just as they moved in, the edge of chaos began to turn the evil forces towards the family and cause havoc.

Them Season 2 Plot

Them season 2 will revolve around LAPD homicide detective Dawn Reeve. She is a fearless woman of colour who explores the depths of a disturbing murder in 1991 in Los Angeles. But the closer she gets to the truth, the more she finds herself in danger.

The show will focus more on Dawn’s family’s inner turmoil. The story raises eyebrows regarding what’s safe and what can harm one’s life. Moreover, this season will also depict the impact of evil forces on family relationships, which connects the dots to the killer of the murder.

The showrunner, executive producer, and creator, Little Marvin, believes another story of Los Angeles in the 1990s is worth telling.

Marvin stated, “With THEM: The Scare, we wanted to combine our love of horror with a look at Los Angeles’s rich history and evolution. This second installment is a new story set in the 90’s, one of the most iconic decades for film, music and fashion, particularly in Los Angeles. I’m also excited about our amazing cast: Deborah Ayorinde returns as a completely new character, Luke James delivers an unforgettable performance and the legendary Pam Grier, who has played so many iconic and beloved roles on screen, makes her return to horror . . . We couldn’t have asked for a more fearless group to lead this second instalment.”

First-Look Photos

The first-look photos of the second season give viewers an eerie experience. The photographs show the new cast of characters from a distance. The pictures seem to have been taken by the killer, who keeps a check on all of his targets. Another photo shows him sewing something in a room with blood-red yarn scattered around.

One of the pictures shows a teenage boy with his eyes filled with terror as an unknown man creeps on the boy in his bedroom. The first-look photos signify the colour red. Whether it is neon light falling on one’s face or the red colour around one’s clothes.
