Dustborn will be available on PS5 and PS4 this year! Get ready for this road trip in a robot-driven tour bus through a stunning Neo-Western landscape. Developer Red Thread Games and publisher Spotlight by Quantic Dream have announced the release date for August 2024. Here’s everything you must know about the single-player game Dustborn.
Dustborn: Release Date and Trailer
Dustborn, the upcoming road trip-story-driven adventure game, will be launched on August 20, 2024. When it first emerged at the Future Games Show 2020, the video game described itself as “a single-player, story-driven action-adventure game about hope, love, friendships, robots, and the power of words.”
Another way to describe what awaits us in August 2024 is a fusion of some iconic gaming elements: the vibrant world-building of Borderlands, the emotionally charged storytelling similar to Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, and the narrative depth of Kentucky Route Zero.
Dustborn has also dropped a brand-new game trailer. Check out the release date trailer here:

What Is the Game About?
Dustborn lets you explore locations across North America, but this differs from your everyday road trip! Prepare yourself as 2D illustrations turn into 3D life.
The mysterious road trip is all fun and games until Pax has to deliver a package from Pacifica to Nova Scotia. However, this is not an ordinary package but a stolen one. Also, the owners are unhappy about it and keen to recoup it.
You will be in the shoes of Pax, a con artist, Anomal, and an exile. Pax may not be able to fly, but her vocal power becomes her greatest asset on the journey towards her destination. As a player, you can weaponize language to fight with Shouts and Vox in conversation to talk your way out of the most perilous journey. Use language that is fueled by deception to intimidate adversaries, control strangers, and inspire allies.
Beside you, a group of characters as crew will support you when you embark on the journey. Your crew will consist of a motley mob of misfits with compelling stories, peculiar powers, and different backgrounds. Navigate each of their uniqueness and build trust within the ragtag group you’ll lead. This way, you can fight against two formidable factions, the fanatical Puritans and the authoritarian Justice, as you cross the Justice-controlled American Republic.
