Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2: Story, Release Prediction & Everything We Know So Far

| Published On

The slasher film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey was an unexpected hit, so it’s not surprising that a follow-up is impending. According to all Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2 buzz, the new instalment, produced by Jagged Edge Productions in association with ITN Studios, will be just as bloody rampage and obscene as the first. Josh Korngut of Dread Central reported that Winnie the Pooh-based horror film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey surprised everyone by unexpectedly becoming a tremendous smash given the novelty of a hard R horror film starring the popular Disney characters. As a result of the film’s popularity and the enjoyment that general viewers certainly derived from it, a sequel—which will undoubtedly be on a much larger scale—has been swiftly developed. The sequel will feature new creature designs and even a new cast.

This article discusses all the fascinating Blood and Honey 2 news, including the plot, cast, release date, and everything we know.

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2: Release Date and Budget Prediction:

Although the original Winnie the Pooh film is still relatively fresh, the developers have recently confirmed a sequel, and production could start as soon as this Autumn (via Collider). Blood and Honey 2’s scheduled release date is unknown, but the developers will announce it soon. If we anticipate the date, the February 2024 release would be ideal counterprogramming for the weekend of Valentine’s Day, and to our surprise, Frake-Waterfield stated in his interview with Variety that he is also aiming for that date.

This sequel will also have a significantly larger allocation, and the production won’t be much constrained, thanks to Rhys Frake-Waterfield. Dating back, the producers have stretched the previous film’s $100,000 funding to the maximum to achieve great success at the box office. The director stated that he wants Blood and Honey 2 to have a budget: “five times the budget of the first one, but it could be substantially more than that as well, which would do absolute wonders for the film.”

There have also been discussions about other slasher films starring well-known children’s characters all set in the same fictional world as Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and are all in the public domain. For instance, following the popularity of Blood and Honey, Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare have also got on the release track.

Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2: Cast

Since the number of deaths in Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey was so high, only a few performers from the first film will join the cast of Blood and Honey 2. Although the producers haven’t announced the cast of the sequel, something that will blow away fans’ minds is the joining of Shaune Harrison from behind the camera. Craig David Dowsett as Winnie the Pooh and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney as Young Winnie-the-Pooh are also ready to return in Blood and Honey 2. The BAFTA-nominated Simon Callow joined on to the project along with Tallulah Evans.

Since Christopher Robin was able to escape the animal’s grasp, he will undoubtedly appear in the sequel, especially since a screenshot verified it. However, Christopher Robin has been seen by different unidentified actors in the screenshot, but it’s unclear if the original actor, Nikolai Leon, is in the cast. Chris Cordell, who played Piglet in Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2, also has a remote chance of returning to the film. Piglet might survive, given that Winnie the Pooh appears to be unstoppable. Tigger was one significant Winnie the Pooh figure that was conspicuously absent in Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, so the follow-up should feature this beloved character. Aside from those potential main characters, the Blood and Honey 2 cast is anticipated to be made entirely of fresh human actors who will serve as targets for Winnie the Pooh’s newly discovered chainsaw.

Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2: Story

Pooh Bear will probably seek Christopher Robin again in the Blood and Honey 2 narrative. The main character still wants retribution for leaving the animals when he was a small lad. By eating Eeyore due to their abandonment, the animals essentially became the savages they are today. Given that Winnie the Pooh will have a chainsaw in this follow-up, Pooh Bear will probably use the tool on most victims searching for a new source of food in the Blood and Honey 2 narrative. Like Winnie the Pooh, Piglet might rise from the dead, as it would be odd to see the beloved character eliminated. But Piglet might be replaced by another well-known figure, Winnie the Pooh.

Tigger wasn’t present in Blood and Honey because the character hadn’t yet been part of the public domain; otherwise, Disney would have filed a massive lawsuit against the film’s creators. However, since Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2 will be released in 2024 and Tigger enters the public domain that year, there is no problem with the character appearing in this follow-up. Since Tigger is such a beloved figure, his appearance in the sequel as a ruthless killer might help the movie to become another satirical hit. Tigger would be a great replacement for Piglet.
