    Mortal Kombat 2

The first Mortal Kombat movie in this revived film series debuted in theatres on April 23, 2021. Game Informer thoroughly enjoyed it; see why in our review, which gives it an 8 out of 10. Hopefully, the sequel will be equally as enjoyable, if not more so.

Mortal Kombat 2 will be directed once again by Simon McQuoid and written by Jeremy Slater, a new writer who also wrote Disney’s Moon Knight series. The Boys will be joined by returning actors and characters. Karl Urban will join the fight as Johnny Cage.

‘Mortal Kombat’: What Was It About?

    Mortal Kombat 2

When the first Mortal Kombat film was released, theatres had just begun to reopen following a prolonged shutdown due to the epidemic. If spectators still didn’t feel secure enough to visit a cinema, they could watch the dramatic quest at home thanks to the simultaneous release of the adaptation on Max. Based on a script by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham, the narrative followed Cole Young as he came to understand that he was a part of a larger world. It was up to the leader to decide the fate of the world by participating in the Mortal Kombat tournament, with the conflict between the Outworld and the Earthrealm reaching a crucial point.

Fans of Mortal Kombat should be happy to hear that the main photography for the sequel is almost finished, having begun earlier this year. The sequel’s production team will have ample time to complete the story’s intricate visual effects and editing if a late-2019 release window is established. Along with Cole’s search for Johnny Cage (Karl Urban), Mortal Kombat 2 will also see the return of Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee), Jax (Mehcad Brooks), and Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada). The journey continues in a film that McQuoid, James Wan, and other executives create the following year.

  • Rick and Morty Season 8 Release Date Delayed

Rick and Morty Season 8 Release Date Delayed

The creators of Rick and Morty have delayed Season 8. The reason for the delay in Rick and Morty’s Season 8 is the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike that took place last year. This strike disrupted the writing process for new episodes. Hollywood Studios’ hesitation in resolving the strike contributed to the delay. This ultimately led to the realization that Season 8 wouldn’t be ready to air in 2024.

Rick and Morty Season 8: Release Window

Rick and Morty Season 8 will air sometime in 2025. The delay means that 2024 will be the first year without new episodes of the sci-fi series since 2018.

Although Season 8 won’t premiere in 2024, a Japanese anime spin-off television series titled “Rick and Morty: The Anime” will be released this year. The series is helmed by Takashi Sano, known for his work on The Tower of God. Sano has directed two anime shorts set in the Rick and Morty universe: “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider” and “Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil).”

The anime is a separate project and does not rely on previous material from the Rick and Morty series. Its first season, featuring ten episodes, is developed and produced by Telecom Animation Film. Adult Swim has recently dropped the first footage as a sneak peek for the show:

Regarding the upcoming anime, Sano stated, “The multiverse-straddling exploits of Rick and the gang pose challenges to the family bond, but they always rise to the occasion. It’s such a life-affirming sight, and Jerry is no exception. I am honored to have been given an opportunity to tell a new story about this amazing family. I hope you enjoy their adventures!”

Given the distant release of Season 8, you can treat yourself to the anime version for now.

What to Expect From Season 8?

Anticipating what’s next in the Rick and Morty storyline is always challenging. In an interview with The Verge, co-creator Dan Harmon hinted that Season 8 will give the show a distinct feel.

Harmon said: “Season 7 just represents one more brick in that road, and it’s season 8, which is already written; when that comes out, I think it’ll be even more so. It’ll feel like a return to form and kind of like a “we’re back, baby” kind of feeling, and hopefully, season 9 will be that but, you know, even more so. But it’ll be because it’s been a gradual process of trying to get our wind in our sails again.”

Do We Have the Cast Details?

We don’t know anything definite about the reboot’s cast or whether the original cast members will return. As the movie is set to come out in 2025, there is plenty of time for such updates to roll out. Sadly, two of them (Leslie Nielsen and George Kennedy) have also passed away. Considering this, it will prove challenging for the team to create a script that resonates with the fanbase and maintains the franchise’s essence.

The Batman 2 Release Delayed Till 2026

The crime of Gotham City continues to lurk in the shadows for an additional year as the Batman 2 release has been delayed until 2026. After the resounding success in 2022 of the original movie The Batman, Warner Bros. Pictures’ decision for the sequel became easy. Matt Reeves’ decision to move forward with the sequel was so on point that not even James Gunn and Peter Safran, the visionary duo of DC Studio, were able to pull him away. But what’s stopping Matt Reeve’s ultimate plan to be presented in 2025? When in 2026 are we getting our Dark Knight back? Keep reading the article to learn everything, from the release date shift to the cast of Batman 2.

Why Has Batman 2 Been Delayed?

Reportedly, the sequel to Batman’s movie faced postponements because of the strikes in Hollywood in 2023. Due to ongoing strikes, the writers who created the story and the actors who played the characters couldn’t do their jobs for a while. They need more time to finish writing the script or filming the scenes, so the movie has been delayed. Still, the filming of the movie has yet to be started.

The Batman 2 Release Delayed Till 2026
The Batman 2 Release Delayed Till 2026

The silence after the announcement of the sequel was too loud. It was when one of the cast members, Jeffrey Wright, who played James Gordon, commented indirectly about the incompletion of the script during the Critics Choice Awards. From there, DC fans learned the movie would be released later.

Batman’s Wright stated, “You’ve seen as much of a script as I have at this point. I don’t want to jump ahead. I just want to go forward with it.”

He continued, “Clearly, I’m Lieutenant Gordon at the end of the first film, so we may be moving up in the ranks, I suppose, but I haven’t seen anything yet. I’m being patient, letting [director] Matt Reeves do his thing—which is going to be magical and wonderful—and looking forward to diving back into it when the time comes.”

Matt Reeves and his co-writer Mattson Tomlin titled the next film, Batman 2, in January 2023, just a few months before the writer’s strike. The strike lasted almost five months and made it impossible to shoot the next sequel. The plan to shoot in November 2023 went up in smoke following the unforeseen strike.

Pictures revealed that the second sequel would be out on October 3, 2025. Since the announcement, Hollywood has turned upside down due to strikes. Also, the shooting for the movie has been impossible to plan.

Although Robert Pattinson may not be saying ‘I’m Batman’ in Gotham City, another release will happen that day. The old date of The Batman 2 is now taken up by Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride, which stars the original Batman, Christian Bale.

Two more movies are lining up for 2025, including Paul Thomas Anderson’s untitled movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, Alana Haim, and Chase Infiniti, which will now be released on August 8, 2025. The second movie has also been pushed back a year to November 24, 2024. Barry Levinson’s Alto Knights, starring Robert De Niro, will now be released on March 21, 2025.

    Disclosing the Cast Members

When the sequel was announced in 2023, only Robert Pattinson was confirmed to reprise his role as the main lead. Now, with much more detail, it is believed that Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin) will return.

Moreover, Colin Farrell will also reprise his role in the TV series The Penguin. The series navigates his life as he goes from being a nobody to Gotham’s most-known gangster after Carmine Falcone’s (John Turturro) death.

The Batman 2 Release Delayed Till 2026
    Colin Farrell in The Penguin

Batman’s love interest for the next sequel remains a question. Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman/Selina Kyle may return to the screen. However, there are chances that Matt Reeves might hold her off. Besides Kravitz’s return, Paul Dano’s and Barry Keoghan’s casting remains unanswered.

Prepare for the Dark Knight’s return and the plot twist that will be worth a year’s wait. Hopefully, when the movie hits the screens, it brings Gotham City’s action and thrill back for the fans.

  • The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Will Premiere in August 2024

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Will Premiere in August 2024

The Umbrella Academy is a Netflix Original superhero-comedy-drama series directed by Steve Blackman and developed by Jeremy Slater, based on Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá’s comics of the same name. February 2019 was the premiere of the series, while June 2022 saw the release of the most recent season. A series like Squid Games, 3 Body Problem, and Umbrella Academy is widely regarded as one of the greatest Netflix Original series ever; it has emerged as one of the network’s top superhero shows. The Umbrella Academy is finally preparing to return for its fourth and — sniff! — last season in August, over two years after its third season debuted on Netflix.

When the show was renewed for a fourth season in August 2022, co-creator Steve Blackman expressed his excitement, saying, “I’m so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreaves siblings’ journey we began five years ago.” “But before we reach that conclusion, Season 4 has an incredible story that will keep viewers gripping their seats until the end.”

We’ve saved you time on Google by compiling all that information in one convenient location. Blackman and Netflix have released new information about this last set of episodes ever so gently in the months since that renewal was announced.

Specifics of the plot? We retain them. Titles of the episodes? We retain (part of) them. Information on the trio of new characters entering the cast? You guessed it: They’re here. As additional information about the upcoming season becomes available, we’ll add to this list, so bookmark this page and return to see what we’ve learned! In the meantime, scroll down to see what we know.

    The Umbrella Academy Season 4
    The Umbrella Academy Season 4

When Does Season 4 Of The Umbrella Academy Premiere?

Netflix will release the whole fourth season on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

What’s The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Plot?

In June 2022 (!), at the final episode of the third season of The Umbrella Academy, the universe as we know it was engulfed by a black hole known as a kugelblitz. Before the universe was destroyed, Sir Reginald tried to reprogram the entire thing, but Allison stopped him in his tracks. As a result, the siblings from Umbrella Academy and Sparrow Academy were sent to a world that was only partially built, and they lost their abilities.

Showrunner Steve Blackman stated in an interview with TVLine at the time that if the program returned for Season 4, “there are going to be repercussions… of the incomplete programming of the universe.” (And it is!).

The question, “Why would [Reginald] leave the kids in such a bad place?” was posed to me. Blackman went on. I contend that he believes they may be in a good place when he leaves. After hearing their complaints about their identities and abilities, he is now telling them, “Look, you’re free.” Nothing is preventing you from achieving your goals now that you lack powers. Lead the lives that you have. Whether Hargreeves accomplished something good or terrible for them is up to the spectator to determine.

Umbrella Academy Season 4 Has How Many Episodes?

Blackman disclosed last spring that Season 4 will only consist of six episodes, as opposed to the customary ten of prior seasons, via a picture of the series finale script.

The showrunner has revealed that “The Unbearable Tragedy of Getting What You Want” will be the title of the first episode of the final season thus far, also via Instagram. “End of the Beginning” is the title of the series finale. The four upcoming instalments’ episode titles are still unknown.

In The Umbrella Academy Season 4, Which Cast Members Are Making A Comeback?

The following cast members of Umbrella Academy have confirmed their return for the show’s fourth and final season on Netflix: Tom Hopper (as Luther Hargreeves), David Castañeda (Diego Hargreeves), Elliot Page (as Viktor Hargreeves), Emmy Raver-Lampman (as Allison Hargreeves), Robert Sheehan (as Klaus Hargreeves), Aidan Gallagher (as Number Five), Justin H. Min (as Ben Hargreeves), Ritu Arya (as Lilia Pitts), Justin H. Min (as Ben Hargreeves), and Colm Feore (as Sir Reginald Hargreeves).

Season 4 Of The Umbrella Academy: Who Are the New Joiners in The Cast?

For Season 4, the show has also welcomed three new cast members: David Cross (Arrested Development), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace), and Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation).

The official description describes Offerman and Mullally as a married pair of community college professors from New Mexico who wear sensible footwear and suffer from the most extreme case of déjà vu this timeline has ever seen. They will play doctors Gene and Jean Thibedeau.

Meanwhile, Cross is set to portray Sy Grossman, a modest, devout businessman and family man willing to do all it takes to win his daughter back.

Is There A Trailer For Umbrella Academy Season 4?

Netflix has not yet released a significant trailer for The Umbrella Academy’s final episodes, but the sizzle reel above contains a small preview of the show that begins at the 31-second mark. (Aim to keep your eyes closed!)

Where Can I Access The Umbrella Academy Supplements?

Do you want to rewatch The Umbrella Academy before its upcoming final season? The first thirty episodes are available for viewing on Netflix right now, so you have plenty of time to catch them all.
